Request for Harlow history artefacts
Posted: 18th November 2020Our school is appealing for Harlow residents to share old photos and artefacts to help children to learn about their history.
Little Parndon Primary Academy has set up a board dedicated to the history of Harlow as part of its tailormade curriculum.
We are collecting maps, facts, photos and artefacts to help pupils to build a picture of their roots.
Headteacher Mark Evans said: “We want to teach our young people about their origins and celebrate the fact they are from a unique town. We want the children to be aware of where they come from, their history, where Harlow is in relation to London, in the UK and the world.
“Our curriculum is about giving them skills to enable them to go out and compete in the wider world. We have personalised it, so it relates to their background. We are making their learning relevant to them and the world around them.”
If you have artefacts to add to the display board, contact the school on admin@bmatlittleparndon.org.uk
