Mrs S Cockman
I have been teaching at Little since 2007 but first started my teaching career back in 1999! During this time I have worked in both Key Stage One and Two and had the pleasure to work with many wonderful children.
Currently I am teaching in Year one three days a week and have the responsibility of reading and phonics across the school. My other role is the Assistant Head of BMAT Teaching School. I support trainee and newly qualified teachers and also support the mentors in their roles. I am also a lead practitioner and a ‘Specialist leader of Education’ for Burnt Mill Academy Trust and WETSA supporting the staff at Little and elsewhere in Essex in improving their teaching practice to engage and inspire children. I have also recently become a fire warden for Little .
During my career, my roles have included Key Stage Leader, curriculum leader of Science, Geography and Healthy Schools, SENCO and led a team of Learning Support Assistants.
Outside of school I enjoy dancing and swimming but most of all I enjoy spending time with my three children.â¯We have two guinea pigs at home too called Frankie and Sammie. You will often find us at the local soft play using up all our energy!
