School Meals

At Little Parndon Primary Academy, we understand the critical role that nutritious meals play in supporting brain development and enhancing learning. We are dedicated to providing a fantastic range of nutritious meals to our students every lunchtime, helping them to stay focused and energized throughout the school day.

Our Commitment to Quality and Nutrition

We take great pride in our 5-star food hygiene rating and our wonderful Kitchen Team, who work diligently to ensure that every meal is prepared to the highest standards. Each day, students have three meal choices, offering a variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary needs. Our menu is carefully designed to include a balanced mix of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains, ensuring that every child receives the essential nutrients they need for optimal growth and cognitive development.

Fun Themed Days

In addition to our daily offerings, we also host a number of fun themed days throughout the year, including calendar events and cultural days. These special occasions not only make mealtimes more enjoyable but also provide an opportunity for students to learn about different cultures and traditions through food.

Ordering and Payment

All meals are paid for and ordered on a weekly basis in advance through ParentPay, our online payment system. Parents and carers must pre-order meals, including those entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, to ensure that we can accommodate everyone's preferences and dietary requirements. This system allows you to go through the weekly menu with your child, making meal selection a collaborative and engaging process.

Universal Infant Free School Meals

Thanks to the Universal Infant Free School Meals funding, all children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 receive free school meals. As a result, we insist that all children in these year groups have school dinners.

For children in Year 3 to Year 6, school meals are available at a cost of £2.60 per meal.

If your child is entitled to Pupil Premium Free School Meals, regardless of their year group, please ensure you set up your claim online at https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-bmat.

By providing nutritious meals and fostering a healthy eating environment, we aim to support the overall well-being and academic success of our students. Thank you for partnering with us in this important aspect of your child’s education.
