Mrs S Cockman
I have been teaching at Little Parndon since 2007 but first started my teaching career back in 1999! During this time I have worked in both Key Stage One and Two and had the pleasure to work with many wonderful children.
Currently I am teaching in Year one three days a week and have the responsibility of reading and phonics across the school. My other role is the Assistant Head of BMAT Teaching School. I support trainee and newly qualified teachers and also support the mentors in their roles. I am also a lead practitioner and a ‘Specialist leader of Education’ for Burnt Mill Academy Trust and WETSA supporting the staff at Little Parndon and elsewhere in Essex in improving their teaching practice to engage and inspire children. I have also recently become a fire warden for Little Parndon.
During my career, my roles have included Key Stage Leader, curriculum leader of Science, Geography and Healthy Schools, SENCO and led a team of Learning Support Assistants.
Outside of school I enjoy dancing and swimming but most of all I enjoy spending time with my three children.â¯We have two guinea pigs at home too called Frankie and Sammie. You will often find us at the local soft play using up all our energy!
