PE

At Little Parndon Primary Academy, we recognise the vital role that Physical Education (P.E.) plays in shaping confident, healthy, and active children. Through high-quality teaching and an engaging curriculum, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of movement, teamwork, and well-being.

Our P.E. Curriculum

We follow the Get Set 4 P.E. curriculum, which provides a structured and progressive approach to developing physical skills, teamwork, and personal fitness. This programme ensures that all children:

Develop fundamental movement skills – Mastering agility, balance, and coordination in a variety of activities.
Build resilience and teamwork – Learning through collaboration, competition, and leadership opportunities.
Embrace an active lifestyle – Understanding the importance of fitness, well-being, and making healthy choices.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of sports and physical activities, including gymnastics, dance, invasion games, striking and fielding games, athletics, and outdoor adventure activities.

Specialist Teaching

P.E. at Little Parndon is delivered by two specialist teachers, who provide expert instruction and ensure that all pupils receive high-quality, engaging lessons. Their specialist knowledge helps children develop technical skills, confidence, and a love for sport.

Opportunities Beyond the Curriculum

We offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs, competitions, and events, giving pupils opportunities to apply their skills in different settings. From inter-school tournaments to after-school sports clubs, we encourage all children to get involved, stay active, and challenge themselves.
